Simon Victor Linsteadt is a composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. He has composed music for This American Life, Ray-Ban Meta, live performance art, broadcast TV, and more. As a singer-songwriter and lead guitarist with the contemporary folk band Steep Ravine (2013 to 2017) and as a solo artist, he has released 10 albums and toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, performing at such venues as The Fillmore, The Great American Music Hall, and The Freight and Salvage. His albums have charted on Int’l Folk DJ Radio charts multiple times, and he has performed three times on NPR’s West Coast Live, along with numerous radio stations across the U.S. He has toured as direct support for bands including the California Honeydrops and Mipso, and has performed alongside such folk luminaries as Nina Gerber and Ramblin’ Jack Elliot. In 2016 his band was a featured showcase artist at the IBMA Awards in Raleigh, NC, and performed at such festivals as Sister’s Folk Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, and Four Corner’s Folk Festival.
